IAN'S PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY

Sarawak > Miri & Northeast Region (Gallery 2)

copyright_ian2001   The entrance to Deer Cave at Mulu National Park. This cave is so huge that, according to the brochures, it can accomodate a couple of Jumbo jets in it. The white vertical lines on the photos are actually water streams flowing down from the roof. Mulu truly lives up to its UN World Heritage Site recognition.

copyright_ian2001   Clearwater Cave at Mulu National Park...so called because of its subtarranean river system. Erosion by flowing water and other elements have carved out the cave walls. The Clearwater Cave is supposedly one of the longest in the world.
