The pictures in this gallery were taken in central Honshu....more specifically, Nara & Kyoto (and vicinity), the inland island of Shodo-shima, Himeji and Kobe.

copyright ian 2001   View of the Oi-gawa River from Arashi-yama rail stop, not far from Kyoto. Don't know what prompted me to come here...could be the catch phrase in the guide book which wrote: "Emotional turbulance melts you away as you approach Arashi-yama..."
